This size-medium Air Friday (top tube equivalent of about 55cm) was top of the line a few years back. Bike Friday discontinued this suspension beam model because the titanium was getting to expensive to produce. Here's your chance to scoop up a piece of cycling history and have fun riding it. Bike Friday's allow for some geometry adjustment.
The Ti suspension beam can be adjusted about 1 either way, thereby adjusting the effective Top Tube up or down from 55cm. UPDATE: it has been pointed out that the titanium beam offered here is dented.
Bike Friday has said that it might be compromised. I will keep the current beam. Bar height is currently 97cm (39.4") and can be raised or lowered +/- 1" (2-3cm)."Stretch" (from the tip of the saddle to the middle of the bars) is currently 58cm (22.83). Chorus 9S RD, Chorus 8S brifters, internal 3 speed Sachs Q hub with like-new 7S cassette, 105 crankset, 600 calipers Campaganolo shifters were the Bike Friday standard equipment as their "pull" works best with the internal hub and the 7S cassette.
There is a 1/2 ding in the Titanium beam. I have asked Bike Friday if there is any reason to NOT use this beam. UPDATE:Bike Friday has said that it might be compromised. With a little practice you can setup and repack in about 5 minutes.Don't let the small 20 451 wheels fool you. If you didn't look down, you would think you were on a traditional high-performance road bike. But you'll never know until you try. Come for a test ride. This Air Friday is in terrific condition. On setting it up again just now it struck me as almost new.
